What I do…
I’ve been a professional video editor and graphic animator since 1990, and a web designer since 2008. I have worked with directors, producers, administrators and fine artists creating, collaborating and publishing works for exhibition, advertising, promotion, broadcast and webcast.

My creative approach to editing includes a combination of pure editing enhanced by Adobe AfterEffects. My experience with national advertising agencies, cable broadcasters, digital distribution services, web compression, and DVD authoring offers a comprehensive set of skills to navigate high-demand projects with complex delivery specifications.
With the benefit of super-fast FIOS connectivity in my studio, I am able to deliver large volumes of content to remote servers quickly, and compose custom designed, dedicated, cross-platform compatible, secure password protected websites for client content review. All compressed formats can be delivered for non-broadcast presentation needs.
I have respectfully served as both a creative and technical guide for project managers and producers. I have worked successfully with a wide range of client experience – from those with no experience in broadcast production to well-known international producers and directors.
My Web design work is an extension of media creation – publishing media in ways that matter to audiences. I earned CIW v5 Associate: Web/Network/eCommerce Foundations certification in 2008, and am currently immersed in developing on the WordPress platform. My Instructional Design studies have introduced a number of ideas for Web 2.0 social media integration for use in knowledgebase design and dedicated communication projects.

• Format, export and encoding video for digital master delivery via remote servers (such as DG Systems) according to specifications.
• Color correction and legalizing programs for broadcast, final program mastering and output to broadcast quality digital video formats Digital Beta, HDCam, DVCProHD.
• Graphics animation, green screen compositing, and image repair via Adobe AfterEffects.
• Sound editing, effects, and design via library of 100+ CD collection, music research and editing via library of rights-controlled stock music.

• Web design, WordPress blog installation and theme modification via CSS, HTML and basic PHP.

• In-class and iChat demonstrations, workshops and one-on-one instruction on video shooting, lighting, editing, graphic animation, WordPress Administration, and web-based CMS administration with Ensemble Video.

PROCESSING:
Digitizing from various tape formats and ingest from MXF formats to quicktime file format, conversion of various video and SWF formats to other formats for web or DVD, DVD extraction and conversion to editable file formats, DVD extraction and conversion to downloadable and streaming web video formats, compression of raw video and audio files for downloadable and streaming web video formats, still photo conversion to various formats for tv and web, conversion of timelapse still photo files to video, transcripting and captioning web video files for accessible online streaming.
TECHNICAL SERVICES:
Install, setup and maintain Apple Final Cut Pro editing systems via AJA digital video card products, Apple desktop and laptop setup and troubleshooting, Apple laptop hardware repair, video/audio cabling and termination.
